Description
Before it was chocolate, it was sacred. Taste the Amazon where cacao began.
Deep in the western Amazon, where rivers run wide and the rain never really stops, the cacao tree grew long before anyone named it. People of the forest gathered its pods by hand and learned its secrets. Cacao was never only a sweet. It was nourishment, offering and ritual, a gift of the forest to be treated with respect.
This bar carries that story.
Its cacao comes from the Putumayo basin, home to Colombia's great Amazon river, where heavy rain falls all year and legend places the birthplace of the cacao tree. It is made into chocolate by a hand-picked artisan producer and handmade in Colombia, so nothing is hurried.
Open it, and the forest answers. First comes brown sugar, warm and soft. Then ripe red fruit, bright as dawn over the river. The finish is short and woody, like earth after rain. The acidity is gentle and the body is buttery, so it feels like a moment of calm.
Three ingredients: cocoa mass from single-origin beans, sugar and a touch of sunflower lecithin. No flavourings or fillers. Nothing stands between you and the cacao.
Single-origin Amazonian cacao. Handmade, slow and unhurried. Cacao as it was meant to be.
